This was a digital painting I did quite a while ago. It depicts my cousin's Phantasy Star Online character in his favorite level.
It's funny to me now, because it was the first of its type that I had done, and I really had no idea what I was doing.
For example, this is the actual working size of the canvas, so I couldn't really zoom in, and I did it all on one layer.
I'm glad I've since learned my lesson.

Small Sketch Update
Just a few things I scanned.
The first two are of an alien that was in a dream I had as a child. I drew it a lot when I was young, I decided to see if I could remember the design.
The next one is also from my dreams. It's a recurring monster that would appear in my nightmares when I was young.
I find it really interesting to try and draw imagery from dreams, even if it never turns out quite the way I see it in my mind.
Last one is the Scarecrow, my favorite Batman villain. We had been talking about Batman in my animation class.

Oingo Boingo Painting
I keep finding old stuff! Here's photos of a project I did sophomore year. We had to choose a song and do a painting based on the lyrics, trying to capture the mood of the song in the imagery while including the first letter of the song's name. I chose the song Water by Oingo Boingo, a band from the 80's that I still love. They used a lot of Day of the Dead style imagery in their promotional art and videos.
They also would have blacklights at their concerts. This was the first painting I did with blacklight paint.

Old Old Old Sketches
I found some drawings I did waaay back in highschool.
Might as well post them up here!
The last one is a fan drawing I did of a character from Death Note, which is an anime I liked a lot in Highschool. It was also the first drawing I did when I found out how fun it is to ink something with india ink and a calligraphy pen.

Fanart Funtimes
There's a webcomic site that a lot of my friends and I have been really into lately called mspaintadventures.
It's a long read, but really interesting, so if you need a way to pass some time I recommend it.
Anyway, been drawing some fan art of it with my friends. There's one character in particular that I really like, so I've done some digital art of him for the fun of it:
Some people may say fan art is a waste of time, but I think it's a great way to practice.
