Small Sketch Update

Just a few things I scanned.

The first two are of an alien that was in a dream I had as a child. I drew it a lot when I was young, I decided to see if I could remember the design.

The next one is also from my dreams. It's a recurring monster that would appear in my nightmares when I was young.

I find it really interesting to try and draw imagery from dreams, even if it never turns out quite the way I see it in my mind.

Last one is the Scarecrow, my favorite Batman villain. We had been talking about Batman in my animation class.

Old Old Old Sketches

I found some drawings I did waaay back in highschool.

Might as well post them up here!

The last one is a fan drawing I did of a character from Death Note, which is an anime I liked a lot in Highschool. It was also the first drawing I did when I found out how fun it is to ink something with india ink and a calligraphy pen.

SELF PORTRAY

For illustration class semester we're supposed to keep a sketchbook, and do drawings based on a different theme every week. The first theme was to draw yourself in whatever style you wished, as long as you did not look at a mirror or photo while doing so.

Naturally, mine turned out pretty dang silly. That's just how I am:

A Sharpie Died for this Post

There's a bit of a story behind this post. It feels a little weird to say publicly on the internet, but I honestly think giving the background for these makes them a lot more interesting than they would be otherwise.

One day I was having a bad panic attack, and I decided to try and work through it by drawing as quickly as I could without thinking about what I was drawing at all until I felt back to normal. Here's what came out of that, in chronological order:

More Doodles Because That's How I Do

I'm just gonna put the rest of what I have laying around in my "doodles" folder on here. Why not!

So here we go.

First is a drawing of my two cats, Sputnik and El Cid. This is a pretty accurate representation of their daily interactions:

The rest of these are pretty random, and huuuuge and long:

Various POKEMON Doodles

I... actually have a lot of doodles/sketches on my harddrive that I haven't posted. Hmm. I always keep forgetting to do it.

Looking through my doodle folder I noticed a lot of them were related to Pokemon, so, that is the theme of this doodle post!

I tend to draw my Pokemon a lot angrier looking than they are in the games or anime. If I was stuck in a ball all day and ordered around by a 10 year old, I'd be angry too.

The above is my imaginary team I'd have as a Gym Leader, consisting of ONLY CAT POKEMON. I'd give out the hairball badge.

That last one is Bowser, who very much is not a pokemon. He was saved in the same folder, though, so I figured why not upload him too. If Bowser WAS a Pokemon, he'd sure be on my team.
